SEOUL, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- South Korea planned to lift restrictions on arrivals from central China's Hubei province as no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported recently in the province, the health authorities said Friday.

BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- UN Women, the United Nations' entity for gender equality and the empowerment of women, on Wednesday held a virtual ministerial roundtable meeting on ensuring progress toward gender equality amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Chinese women affairs official Huang Xiaowei delivered a keynote speech at the meeting.

At the height of COVID-19, the United States went so far as to groundlessly attack and withdraw from the World Health Organization. The current U.S. administration has pulled out of more international treaties than any one before it, making itself the most damaging force of the current international order, he added.

"These negative moves by the United States have seriously damaged global and regional peace and security, impacted international arms control and disarmament, weakened mutual trust among major countries, undermined global strategic stability, and exposed U.S. intentions to seek unilateralism and military hegemony," Wang said.

The two sides, he said, should explore ways to resume exchanges at all levels in an orderly manner, establish bilateral and regional "fast lanes" and bolster cooperation in "green lanes," so as to help the two countries resume work and production and ensure the stable operation of industrial and supply chains.

Now, the ball is in the U.S.' court. For the interests of both China and the United States, as well as those of the wider world, China is always ready to work with the U.S. side to boost bilateral ties on the basis of coordination, cooperation and stability, and to maintain global peace and prosperity.

"China loves us, and we love China. The feeling is mutual. As an international student, I am willing to make my humble contribution to the anti-epidemic fight. In the future, I aspire to be an outstanding engineer and live a better life in China with my family," Moohialding said. Enditem

Any idea for regional cooperation should be in line with the general trend, and conform to the people's will. Otherwise, it will not win the support of regional countries, the spokesperson added.

Mahmoud Ashour, in charge of security and cleaning jobs at the TEDA cooperation zone, has been especially busy during the past few months. Every day, Ashour and his colleagues disinfect the public areas thoroughly and measure the body temperature of people entering and exiting the zone.
