BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- China rejects any attempt to create a so-called "new Cold War," Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Wednesday.
All international flights at the Yanji Chaoyangchuan International Airport were suspended in late March due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Wang said this statement is yet another proof of the Philippines' independent foreign policy, which embodies the common aspiration of the regional countries to pursue peace and development.
"The choices we're making today will shape not only relations between our two great countries, but also the future of the world. So we have to make the right choices. We have to base ourselves on the long-term interests of our two peoples and of the world," he said.
"These will only lead to its moral decline, damage to its national image and international trust deficit, and are doomed to boomerang," Wang said.
Trump is essentially doing what the United States has long accused China of doing: disrespecting private property, presuming guilt without evidence, eroding foreign firms' legitimate rights without compensation, and using arbitrary, opaque rules to block them from operating in the country, according to Wei.
In the next two months, more medical and epidemic prevention supplies are scheduled to be dispatched from Xi'an to Italy via the China-Europe train routes to help with the anti-epidemic fight. Enditem
"Let business become the stabilizer for the relationship," said Ni.
He added that as the world's economic powerhouse, China has a number of advantages ranging from raw materials, productivity, labor, infrastructure, economic diversification to education, among others.
They backed Wang's call for improved U.S.-China relations, saying cooperation between the world's two major countries will have a positive impact on the entire international community. Enditem
