BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence on Saturday to his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Phu Trong, over the passing of Le Kha Phieu, former general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC).
However, their awkward and dirty tricks will fool no clear and rational minds across the world. If those politicians continue moving in the wrong direction, Washington's dwindling credibility will be further eroded and more shame will be brought onto its diplomacy. Enditem
BOGOTA, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Washington's latest quarrel with China over the latter's technological advances, and its attempts to meddle with China's domestic affairs have met with wise discretion of Chinese officials, Colombian political observer Lorenzo Maggiorelli has said.
Such moves naturally gain little support, said Wang.
"Nonetheless, for some time, some politicians in the United States have kept making false statements and groundless remarks against China. They have viciously attacked the CPC and China's political system. They have deliberately distorted and even attempted to write off the history of China-U.S. relations for the past nearly 50 years," Yang noted.
The charge d'affaires of the Chinese embassy in Ghana Zhu Jing, who presented the items, said the donation was to reciprocate a similar gesture from the Greater Accra Coordinating Council to Fujian Province earlier in the year.
The Chinese side attaches great importance to consolidating and developing the traditional friendship between the two countries, and is willing to work with Vietnam in enhancing political mutual trust and strengthening unity and cooperation so as to push forward the relationship of the two parties and two countries, as well as their respective socialist causes for new and greater development, Xi said.
Asked about Washington's criticism of the World Health Organization (WHO) and decision to withdraw from the organization amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Maggiorelli said the U.S. decision to withdraw from the organization is "undoubtedly due to political reasons and not health concerns," Maggiorelli said.
Against the backdrop of globalization and the rampant COVID-19 pandemic, this is not the right style and approach to conduct international politics, said Paunov, noting that solidarity and cooperation are more powerful than fighting alone.
